Challenge

Cyberattacks cost companies billions of dollars a year. The obligatory "this is important, please read..." note from IT falls woefully short of addressing the issue. So how do you break through the clutter to reach 5000+ global associates on the "front lines" to heighten awareness and begin to change behavior?  

Solution

Build a campaign that's disruptive, fun, engaging and competitive. Multiple touchpoints were deployed, from emails to environmental graphics to physical and digital games - all designed to teach and inform (minus the scare tactics) in bitesized chunks while associates took breaks in their busy schedules.   

Results

  • Surpassed expectations by directly engaging nearly 65% of associates via the Cyber Space Invaders game.  

  • Attained global awareness as noted by post-campaign questionnaires

 

  • Prompted a nearly 10% increase in phishing activity reported to the internal IT department, suggesting heightened threat awareness.
